New Sage TimeSheet 9.7 Simplifies Time Tracking for Professional Services Organizations

St. Petersburg, Florida - Sage Software today announced the availability of Sage TimeSheet, version 9.7, featuring enhanced integration with Sage Abra HRMS Attendance and Sage Abra HRMS Payroll for improved management of payroll-related tasks, the time tracking process, and the complete automation of data transfers between systems. The new release also includes enhancements for Sage TimeSheet – MAS 90 Edition.

For many years, Sage TimeSheet has offered a comprehensive business solution for managing elements ranging from attendance to varying pay rates for businesses and organizations, including government contractors and those focused on professional services such as IT and engineering.

"The goal with this new update to Sage TimeSheet is to help managers get better control of the information coming into the system so they can increase efficiency and minimize the time it takes to handle time tracking and payroll management," said Jessica Simmons, vice president and general manager for Sage TimeSheet, Sage Software. "In addition, the new enhancements will also enable professional service organizations to improve resource management for better forecasting and accountability, which is particularly important during a challenging economic environment."

Sage TimeSheet is a flexible project and resource management application that offers organizations extensive time and expense tracking, resource allocation analysis, and project headcount justification that can be easily integrated with other business management applications. New functionality in Sage TimeSheet 9.7 provides:

  • Simpler access to other business applications. Administrators can use simple menu commands within Sage TimeSheet to configure and operate optional modules with greater ease once activated.
  • Tighter integration with HR and Payroll. There is now complete automation in the transfer of information between Sage Abra HRMS and Abra Payroll for payroll processing, or to Abra Attendance to update time-off balances into Sage TimeSheet.
  • Improved approval processes. The system provides additional notification capabilities allowing for the ability to notify component managers, such as Project Managers, during the approval process when timesheets have been submitted by employees.

Sage TimeSheet – MAS 90 Edition also offers new functionality with the release of Version 9.7 for better employee task management and time tracking. Administrators can now restrict job selection lists on tasks and time entries according to a selected employee, and send pro-rated hours from Sage TimeSheet to the TimeCard or Accounts Receivable (AR) modules in Sage MAS 90 ERP.

The new tighter integration between modules available in the standard Sage TimeSheet enables more control over the information transferred within Sage TimeSheet – MAS 90 Edition. Administrators can now choose which Sage MAS 90 module receives expense data, as well as send summarized time entry and expense entry data to the Sage MAS 90 AR module.

Sage TimeSheet integrates with project management and billing systems, and also provides built-in tools to analyze project budget costs, estimated time-to-completion, and resource utilization. Compared to other project time-tracking software, Sage TimeSheet offers the most flexible configuration and customization capabilities to fit the unique requirements of most organizations, whether departmental or company-wide.
